Tips to make life a little bit easier and more interesting

How to clean a filthy microwave

If your microwave is like mine, it gets used a lot and gets pretty nasty. This dirty build up can cause all kind of bacteria to house in you microwave, so you do need to clean it often. Lemons have been used for years for cooking, healing, removing stains, deodorizing, whitening tennis shoes and cleaning brass. Lemons are also used to clean and deodorize the microwave.

Things you'll need:
Microwaveable Cup, Lemon Juice

1.
Place a cup of lemon juice in the microwave. The lemon juice acts as a deodorizer and causes the build up to break down easily.
2.
Cook on high for 3 minutes, let cup set in closed microwave for 2 minutes (this allows the steam to penetrate the interior).
3. Remove the cup from the microwave and wipe the inside with a damp cloth. This should leave your microwave looking clean and smelling fresh. You should clean your microwave as often as needed, this will make it easier to clean.
